Default Balance boards for training?

Anyone ever try any of the balance boards (like www.vewdo.com) for off
season balance and edge changing training?

Thanks,
Tim

I started using a simple wobble board and rocker board this past spring,
after spraining an ankle. I also bought a T-Board (www.tiereneyrides.com)
which has been a lot of fun and seems to be improving my balance. (Warning
on Tierney boards - they chew up wheels at an unbelievable rate)

Will it make a difference in my riding? We'llsee, but I suspect the answer
is yes.

Mike,
Checked out the T-board which looks real interesting. Which wheels are you
using? Urethane or Rubber?

I started with urethane and then switched to rubber. I chewed up a pair of
urethane wheels in less than 20 hours, even rotating wheels several times.
The rubber wheels wear better, but after about 25 hours I got a huge crack
in one of them, and it feels completely unsafe now, like the outside portion
of the tire is about to break away. If it weren't for the crack I'd say
they would have about 25 more hours to go before they were shot.

Performance wise I like the rubber wheels a lot better because you can
really turn hard on them. with the urethane wheels you have to keep your
weight farther back and keep from skidding out. With the rubber wheel you
can put more weight up front like you do when carving hard on a snowboard.

I should add, the T-Board requires that you use a "freeride/freestyle"
snowboard stance, for example 15/0. (Duck would work fine too). On the
off chance that you want to cross-train in a more forward, alpine stance,
the T-Board is much less stable with the feet pointing forward. In fact I
am thinking about a four-wheeled longboard where you stand more like an
alpine snowboarder, because I want to cross-train more in that area.
