So.... last night I did the "right thing" and applied Nikwax to my boots
to waterproof them so I would be ready for a warming trend ski today.
I load up my gear and drive 50 minutes to the local higher altitude
(2000 ft higher) that still (hopefully) has some kind of snow, and upon
arrival I pull off my shoes and grab a boot only to see it has no laces.

In doing a complete waterproofing job , I took out the laces, then in a
morning fog, I just grabbed my boots and went on my way.

Fortunately, my regular shoes had pretty long laces, so by doing ever
other eyelet, I got some skiing in.

Ive done worse.... I have gone camping, and forgot my bag that had my
clothes. Fortunatly there was a department store with in 1/2 hr drive.....

I've done better. When I was younger and dating my date forgot her sleeping
bag on our camping trip.........hmmmmm.

Things are a little slow here in the Twin Cities with no snow. It's hard to
stay focused.
