You're wrong a lot. Is that an insult? Is that a flame? Is it true?
It might be all three.

Jeff, have you noticed that they have only backed you up on the "tone"
of discussion and not on the substance of a lot of what you say about
the equipment?

I'd rather have people rag on my tone or style of what I way, and not
the substance. YMMV.

Maybe it's because others didn't have anything special to say about
the substance, but they recognize someone who's way out of line when
they see it. Nice try.

You haven't seen mean. You're calling for fake niceness and I don't
play that.

No. I'm calling for netiquette. --JP

No, you're wrong. My opinion is that colorful clothing looks good on
snow and that the dominance of black in US XC clothing is lame. My
opinion can't be wrong, it's just my opinion. You're free to give your
own fashion opinion, but it's wrong of you to equate my fashion
opinion with a stance on function.

You don't understand the meaning of "perfect."

I understand it and use it well enough in the context of ski reviews
on Usenet.

I reject insult.

It's a flame because it's an unsupported negative statement. It's also
OT.

And I'm calling for logic and accuracy. Sorry that annoys you so
much.

If you keep that attitude your reviews will be worthless to most
readers.

It doesn't annoy me. Your rudeness does. You can feel free to
contribute where you can according to the rules/culture of Usenet. My
posts are good enough until you post something better or more
helpful.

Your over-reaction is what has no value.
