So if I want to go skiing in 16 years I have to come to the UK?
Can anyone recommend a hotel, what will the piste conditions be like in say March 2021, also what about a guide? What resorts can be recommended for a grumpy old b***t**d? -- Simon Brown www.hb9drv.ch "hhh" wrote in message ... Well according to our friends at the erstwhile guardian/observer Britain will be 'Siberian' in less than 20 years which will, I guess, make it too cold for skiing. Another quote I like in the article: "As early as next year widespread flooding by a rise in sea levels will create major upheaval for millions" well that sounds like a statement of fact to me: if it occurs I'll become a fully paid up member of Greenpeace and take out an annual subscription to The Guardian. |

What, you told me that the American military has prepared some reports based on speculative "what if" scenarios? Can't recall that specific conversation, as it happens... -- Ace (brucedotrogers a.t rochedotcom) Ski Club of Great Britain - http://www.skiclub.co.uk All opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent those of the Ski Club. |

You misunderstand - you've been telling us it could just as easily get colder - and according to the Pentagon, you may well be right.... Pete |

If the expected change in the Gulf Stream comes about winter in the UK would be roughly similar to winter in Nova Scotia - ouch!!! FTW main road closed here due to accident, cars queuing up in the falling snow... Simon 'smug git' Brown www.laax.ch |

Oh yeah, I forgot, sorry :-) Anyway, either scenario's as unlikely as the other, from what I've read. -- Ace (brucedotrogers a.t rochedotcom) Ski Club of Great Britain - http://www.skiclub.co.uk All opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent those of the Ski Club. |

Could have fooled me. The snow here(UK) these days is terrible. Glencoe and
Glenshee ski centres have both just gone up for sale due to lack of business from a severe lack of snow! Just goes to show that the Pentagon know nothing after all.
