It has been years since I have been in that area in the winter, but I
know there jas been a bushwacking cult out there for years. I wonder
if the management will allow access to the newly-cut trail this year?

They have already denied it, then went to the investigating officer on
their own and confessed to it, and now are pleading not guilty. What
more could a lawyer do for them?
