Default Where to take a beginner

So the woman I'm seeing says she'll go on a ski trip with me in the
Northeast. She's never skied. I hope to get her out to the local hill
a couple or few times first. But after that, where should I go? Where
can a beginner, who I hope will be capable of some easy blues by trip
time, be able to ride the lifts with an advanced skier? Of course,
I'll stay with her 90 percent of the time, but I might like to take
some good bump and steep runs solo, too. Any suggestions?

Can't help ya with the northeast. I find it too icy for a beginner to
learn quickly. Come out west where the snow is soft. I learned to ski
here in Arizona. Really nice beginner area that is wide and treeless.

Killington does have some very long beginner runs.

When I was young, I cut my teeth on the hills in the Poconos. But, when I traveled to Mount Snow with my family, I really saw some improvement. They have a good ski school and plenty of terrain for beginners and intermediates.
