Yes I have.

In fact I taught there a bit.

As I understand they've recently
opened the "other mountain" which has
been on hold for years.

They have a lodge where half is in Idaho,
the other half Montana. It's a nice old
authentic lodge out of the thirties or so.
It's wonderful, center stone fireplace,
etc.

They get some nice powder, no question.
They have a great ski school, rentals, etc.
It's a bonafide ski area. They have a pretty
good beginner area and some green trails,
they have lots of blue, good black and
a few little holes in the trees that lead to
some pretty steep stuff. There are some
cliffs right above the lodge you could play
with, that, snow allowing could qualify as
dangerous.

You should check out some hot springs while
you're there. Like for instance Elkhorn, in
fact very close to Maverick Ski Area I think,
or another one that escapes me, right in a small
town nearby Lost Trail. Rooms available at both.

It's a great place to escape from civilization
and still have some good skiing.

Anything specific you wanted to know?
The website and the trail maps say most
there is to say.
