Snow in Colorado

There are now 4 areas open in CO: Loveland, A-Basin, Copper, and Wolf Creek.
There was snow every day last week. However the first 3 listed areas are still
reporting only one or two runs and one or two lifts.

Wolf Creek reports a 38 inch base and several runs and lifts open.

The next storm is due Thursday. Stay tuned.

TCS (also Chester) -- don't forget that reports like this are acceptable
in rec.skiing.announce . I know that the moderator(s) won't relay EVERY
snow report, but some of the early-season reports and openings are significant,
and during the season it's relevant to pass along tidbits like Kirkwood getting
200 inches in one dump.

The FAQ for rec.skiing.announce was most recently posted on 1 Nov 2003.
Posters should check this out before making submissions. In general, help-wanted
and condo-for-rent ads won't make the cut. Race news, timely snow reports,
and succinct relevant skiing news will likely pass moderation.

I don't understand the point really. The people who are interested are
in this group. They also read rsam, but due to it's very name, this
group gets viewed the most.

While we are on the subject. Winter Park got 8 inches new on Monday night and
they open on Wednesday (12 Nov).

There will be limited terrain - so limited that a friend with free skiing
access won't even bother.

Storm still coming on Thursday.
