Default Moving to Utah soon

I'm moving to Salt Lake City soon, I was just wondering if anyone knows
about which resorts have the best deals on season passes. I liked Alta and

situation.

If you plan on living the Salt Lake Valley, I strongly recommend that
you get a pass to one of the areas in either Little or Big Cottonwood
Canyon. Closer to home, and *much* better snow quality and quantity
than the PC side.

This year, an Alta season pass cost $825 if purchased prior to Labor
Day, and $925 after Labor Day:

So, if you get the Alta pre-Labor Day price, and ski 45 days, it comes
out to something like $18/ski day. Not a bad price to pay for the
best lift-served powder skiing in North America.

Or, you can really splurge and purchase an Alta-Snowbird combined pass
for $1,100 or $1,200.

The cost for a Canyons pass ranges anywhere from $765 to $1,090
depending upon when you purchase it, and if it is a renewal:

http://www.thecanyons.com/skiing-rid...sonpasses.html

A few years ago there was a bunch of ****ed-off Canyons season pass
holders because supposedly The Canyons ski patrol was understaffed, so
they took forever (days) to open up all the terrain after a good dump.

Not sure if they are still having the same problems.

Personally, I won't waste my time (or money) at The Canyons. And,
after you've lived here a while, I doubt that you will either.

Uh-huh. 'Ever been to Canada?

Well, how about "Not a bad price to pay for some of the best
lift-served powder skiing in North America."

Is that better?

I helped coach a group in Salt Lake City last spring. One of my
students was a local gal who held the regional "all-areas" pass that I
think she said cost a little more than the Alta/Snowbird pass. She'd
been skiing 4-5 days a week all around Salt Lake City and said she
liked being able to change areas, especially depending upon where the
best weather was.

I haven't had the "gold pass" for a few years now. It doesn't make sense
for me because there are only two areas for me to ski.

Last time I got it I think it was $2500. Up to 40 days at each area in
Utah/fully transferable. When I quit paying attention they were coming
up with a "silver card" that was about $1800. 35 at each area but not
transferable, I think.

There was a waiting list to get one at that time.
