Questions for upcoming Aspen vacation in April

Planning on visiting Aspen in early April 2004. I want to know
weahter conditions, does it snow/rain in April? if so how much etc.
Planning travel with two young kids, all ideas for things to do with
kids in Aspen are welcome. Thanks.
