Default Tight socks

A bit of a strange question, but I got these new Thirty-Two socks -
large size (apparently) and they're really tight-fitting around the
upper shin / calf. Anyone with a medical understanding, or experience
of this - is there a circulation issue here or will I just ease into
them with all the flexing the calf muscle is involved in?

Well z?,

No offense intended, but are you a lady?

If so, womens calf's are very different than men's.
It would be a major reason for womens boots and bindings.

That said, Burton socks are very tight on my calf's. Probably will not
be purchasing them again for that reason.

These are definitely my own, male legs...I hope! I am reasonably well
defined but still surprised how tight they are. Anyway, decided to
take them back today, but the shop, BBC in High Wycombe, refused a
refund but offered a credit note, so I'll take another look perhaps in
their larger store. (A bit miffed as have spent hundreds of pounds on
boards, boots etc. in there and the socks were returned in packaging,
immaculate, but company policy apparently).

I find the Burton socks are quite tight on my calf muscles initially, but
after a while they loosen up a little bit. The socks these days are
definitely tighter than what you could buy 5 or more years ago.

Not sure I'd want socks that someone else has worn

I think you're in your rights to expect a refund, but for the price of a
pair of socks, they know you're not going to go to court over it.

I'd shop elsewhere in future though, they clearly don't care about your
loyalty and simply want to tie you in with credit notes. Screw 'em.

Fair point! Though I pointed out to them that I had base layer Tactel
on, so the socks didn't really touch my skin!

Thanks - my thoughts exactly. Those socks are back on their rack for
sale and I'm a tenner down - daft.

Their Milton Keynes branch seems well run, but this was one of several
bemusing customer service incidents me and friends have experienced at
High Wycombe.
