I am looking at the 5 star.. which I have skied and a 6 star supersport
which I have not. Can someone who has skied both of these tell me what is perceived as the difference. Advice appreciated. lars |

The five star is more forgiving and allows you to get lazy. With the six star you have to be right on top of it all the time or it balks. In exchange for this you get a bit better top-end performance. DISCLAIMER: The above is second hand information, gleaned from talking to several people who have skied both. Like you, I've only tried the 5 star; free advice is worth every penny you pay for it. -- //-Walt // // http://tinyurl.com/yubxo |

I thought I would try the 161.. what do you think? um.....the only length that they had at the demo center... I think it was 168 or 173, but I don't remember. It wasn't as short as 161 - I'd remember that. I'm not as enamoured of the really really short skis as some are. They may be more nimble on the groomed, but a longer wheelbase definitely helps smooth out terrain variations when the going gets tough. While short-short skis may be great in the gates and on the corderouy, I'd opt for a bit more length for an all around ski. Just my $.02, really it's up to you. Try them in different lengths and see what you think. Just be sure to take them through a variety of conditions. -- //-Walt // // http://tinyurl.com/yubxo |
