Default Update: Nikwax re-waterproofing...

Re-proofed my polyester ski gear with Nikwax PolarProof, following
advice from this group. Now, I have just completed the 'stick it
under the tap' test, and the results were really impressive, like
water off a duck's back! How long this will last, only time will
tell.

Thanks to those who replied with advice, namely, Michael Dart, bdubya
(bw), Walt and Sven Golly.

Now it's time to snap on my rather battered Xscreams and hit the
waterlogged slopes of Scotland...I'll need all the waterproofing I can
get!

It doesn't last as long as the factory stuff, but it is a very
thorough job while it lasts. I use this for a lot of my gear, most
frequently for my drytop. It needs about one refresh for a full
season of running whitewater, which I do pretty frequently (3-6x
weekly).

Some days you're the windshield,
Other days you're the bug.
