I call it "flatboard rollerblading," or more descriptive, "rollerblade
skiing." Yes, it is the same technique I used for skiing, which is
different from "ordinary, partitioned-mind in-line skating," as it is a
"skiing" instead of the "ordinary" "in-line 'skating.'"

Okay, but....what do you do when you're not going downhill? Do you
use an "ordinary" style on the flats, or uphill? Or do you only go
downhill?

I look for (my primary interest) downhill to go when I rollerblade
skiing, but in the transit/flat, I do both--skating and skiing--and
going uphill, the old fashion Herribone.

Also, I have occasionally assumed that same feet-together stance when
coasting down a gentle grade (although without waving my arms like a
marine filter-feeder in a current), but at higher speeds (like those
attained in my local parking garage) I suspect it would be a quick
ticket to road rash.

Yup, the wheels may get washed out when hard turning on 20+ degree
pitched slope/trial, other than that, "flatboard rollerblading" is
pretty much same as "flatboard skiing."

But as long as we're this far off topic,

Oops, sorry foot, don't mean to hijack your thread; I realized it only
after I posted a reply to VtSkier; given the previous experience on
this board, this thread will run away, so I make this amend to a new
thread.

here's a 4MB .mov of me

No joy, it said, "The page cannot be played."
