Uglymoney, it can be broken down this simply. In all my life
BSUVS before sport utility vehicle stupidity I had *never*
heard of a person dying because they blew a tire and lost
control. It simply didn't happen. Now it happens all the time,
but only to SUV drivers.

If these silly things get into *any* kind of trouble, they'll
roll over. And they're so cheaply constructed that they
flatten like the pancake on the rabbit's head. Gee, a roll
bar or cage would go a long way to help, do *any* of them
have anything like that? No....

I don't know if you would count a Landrover Freelander as an SUV, but I was
pushed of the road at 70mph by a german artic (merkan translation, semi, I
think) I was in the outside lane and he didn't see me. The car rolled once
and ended up in a ditch pointing back the way I had come. I walked away with
a scratched ankle and ear ( which I think I got climbing out through a
broken window) needless to say the car was a writeoff, but I figured that it
saved my life, so I bought another one.
