Jim Farrell Passed Away

Jim Farrell, a Minnesota master skier and contributor to this news
group, died in a car accident several days ago in Minneapolis. He was
a pretty shaky skier when he first started the sport and worked hard
to improve. He became a very accomplished skier over the past decade.

Thanks for posting this, Jay. I'm sad to hear about this. Jim and his
then wife befriended me early on after my move to the Twin Cities,
visitng and skiing together here or there, and Jim and I travelled to
Ironwood together for a weekend. Even when we disagreed about car pool
(HOV) lanes - he wasn't happy at all about my opposition - he was a
good guy and will be missed.
