"vansterut" wrote in message oups.com... A quick question to the experts in cyberspace: is it rude to take a dog XC skiing while touring? I have read that skiers are supposed to follow track and that it is also rude to let dog run or pull on tracks.... What should I do? I don't want to leave my puppy home! Van In Scotland we have several skiing families with husky pets and the dogs enjoy racing round the forest trails pulling someone on skis. But this is wild country, not a town park. Those dogs seem to thrive on fast workouts. You wouldnt try to poke a slipole at a fast moving husky to push him off the trail. Mike |
