Austria where to ski
Terd wrote in message ...
Innsbruck. Twice hosted the Olympics. Innsbruck is a nice place for a tourist vacation, but I think you will be disappointed if you go there for memorable skiing. All of the ski areas are relatively small. If you are staying in Innsbruck, the buses to the ski areas do not leave until about 9am, and you are lucky if you are skiing by 10am. Bus service was infrequent, so once we got off the bus, we were basically committed to staying all day. Our best ski day was when we booked a trip to St. Anton. However, Innsbruck is a great place for playing tourist for a couple of days, and we enjoyed the trips to Neuschwanstein, Oberammergau, and Salzburg. |
