oups.com... I was surprised to see how many liberals there were in the poll result as the Rocky Mountain states are solid red. (In this case red refers to deficit spending). Then it occured to me, population distributions indicate that most regular skiers probably live in California and the American Northeast. It's not as solid as you might think. If you look at the county by county maps for Colorado, almost all of the resort counties and metro area voted blue. |

I agree with this sentiment. With the exception of Santorum, I'll vote
for Republicans on the state and local level, but the national Republican Party is beholden to nutters. People talk about Pataki as a potential GOP candidate in 2008. Don't make me laugh, he'll never survive the Bible Belt primaries. BTW: Even though Kerry had it all wrapped up by the PA primary, I still voted for Howard Dean. Like you said, he's socially liberal and fiscally responsible. (After Presidents Reagan and Bush II, it is impossible for me to construct the phrase "fiscally conservative" without laughing.) |

I'm glad to hear that. I wouldn't want my money going into Jeb Bush's
coffers in 2008. |

Anybody want to steal votes, intimidate voters, and rig elections? After all, that's the Republican way! Actually fair elections is the republican way. The liberal way is to accuse everyone of everything and have a tantrum when you don't get your way. Hey wait a minute. That sounds just like you Scott. BTW it's official. Scott was a no-show at Sunshine Village. Bluff called again. |

I bet he was a republican. ant No self respecting republican would vote yes for anything having to do with Scott. Except maybe for assisted suicide. Hey Scott, you want Jack Kevorkian's number in jail? I'll be glad to set up the meeting. |

And yes, GW did win but that doesn't mean there is not a problem. I would think the republicans would want to fix problems since they are in the majority. |

Fixing a problem would require actually giving the problem some thought. |

You guessed wrong. Damn. I thought I had made sure that all decent people left this newsgroup long ago. Gee, and I thought that all the decent people left out of fear of "the dweebs". Thanks for admitting that YOU are the one who drives people away, and does so deliberately. Dave |
