The non-profit International Skiing History Association has just moved its
website onto a new server, and we have a new forum feature installed.

See http://skiinghistory.org

Please look at it and let me know what you think. Most of the folks who
visit this site seem to be kids doing term papers -- What can we do to make
it useful to adults?

Thanks --

Seth

How about adding the old Chadd's Peak ski area in Chadd's Ford, PA

Start more "history of skiing" arguments in public fora?

I hadn't noticed the "Historical race results" page before - is it
(relatively) new? Whatever, it's wonderful to have all those race
results pulled together for reviewing.

In the spirit of my first comment, I'll add the following:
I found the definition of "Super Ranking" and "Super Leader" buried on
the Top 50 pages - I think any system where a specialist like Stenmark
finishes higher than an all around skier like Girardelli needs a little
work.

I remember a "service" in the days when Internet first went public, that if
you sent in a picture of a woman, they would send back a picture altered to
look like she was naked.

Thinking about it, that was probably the first spammer's address harvester.

Personally, I think Seth Masia is an amoral asshole. He hangs out with
people who falsely accuse innocent men of molesting children, has never had
one word of criticism for the criminal terrorism of rsa, and continues to
post here and chat with criminals as if nothing had happened.
Fair is fair.
Seth Masia consorts with the criminals who falsely accuse me of molesting
children, answers their posts, skis with them and drinks with them.
Obviously, he has no objection to the tactic of falsely accusing people of
molesting children as a means of controlling an internet newsgroup.
Therefore, he would have no objection if he was falsely accused of molesting
children.
Fair is fair, right?
