Default Salomon Evo 2 8.0 (heat moldable liner) how to do

Hi

Got some Salomon's at sale at the convention center, they did not have
services and this boot comes with a heat moldable liner.

My question is do I need to do anything with the liner, and if yes can
I do it at home (how) or go to a local shop and get it done.

I am a beginner/intermediate skier, primarily ski greens and easy
blues.

Bought these as found they fit pretty good straight off.

The best thing to do would be to go to a shop and get it done.

The reason for this is that when the liner is heated up the foam expands by
quite a margin, so when you put the boot on again the foam really moulds
around the lower leg and foot making for a much more personalised fit. The
foam then largely stays in place so that when you next put the boot on it
will be a perfect fit.

On the other hand, wearing the boot for half a days skiing puts the same
amount of heat into the liner so has much the same effect. The benefit of
doing the heat moulding in the shop is that you have an extra half day of
skiing in a boot that fits you already.
