This has been done and said before, but I figure I'll say it and be
done with it. I'm taking a break from this group as well as rsam,
which I did NOT vote for I'll have you know. I just seem to be
getting less and less enjoyment out of being around here. Plus, it
*is* winter....

A little background first - I started posting to rsa in the middle of
October 2002, having lurked for a couple weeks or so before that.
During that time there was a bunch of debate over the creation of
rsam, of which (at the time) I was oblivious. Having been on usenet
several years earlier, I was somehow wise enough to do a bit of
googling to find out what was going on prior to just diving in and
adding to the mess. My initial reaction was to simply tell you to
STFU, Scott. Why? Your posts were ungodly rude, and seemingly out of
nowhere. It almost looked like you were just begging to be ****ed
with.

Instead, however, I started googling you. Extensively, if you must
know. As a matter of fact, I'd say that I went waaaaaaay above and
beyond the call of duty with regard to doing my research. Butt Dawg,
Klaus (klaus), Horvath, Miya, Dale Bish, Hunter Thomson, the spat with
Dave over Vail, George Morrison, felching, Jamie, sneakpeak spam, any
spam whatsoever, K2, Olin, ready12190, iona_stick, Tina, Lurleen,
Wal-Mart etc, etc.... I've read it. In fact, I do believe I've read
damn near every one of your posts to rsa up until late 1999. Then it
just got to be too much - and too boringly repetitive.

And what did I learn? Not enough, apparently. I'm a newbie to this
group, and literally only know people through what they post - other
than Mikey, BW, Sam, uglymoney and Chester - who I skied with ONCE. I
had no trouble getting along with them at all. On the contrary they
all seemed like pretty normal well adjusted people. Could they
actually be mean-spirited criminals out to wreck your life? Sure they
could. Do I believe they are? No, I really don't.

With regard to the folks that continue to taunt you, I think they are
one or more of the following - sick, mean-spirited, bored just looking
to **** with someone, ****ed off, stone-cold assholes or true
psychopaths. I think that what they are doing is wrong. They can't
help themselves from flaming you, Scott. And, unfortunately, you
can't seem to help yourself from responding.

What's your end goal? If you are trying to convert the newbie to your
side - I gotta tell you it's not working. You come off as a raving
lunatic, to be honest. Typing "you are a sick stalking terrorist"
over and over in varying degrees of vehemence using every expletive
and derogatory phrase known to man is really not garnering support
among the newcomer to this group.

Are you trying to drive away the newbies? If so - then I think your
tactics are working. Killfiles suck IMO. I want to know what's going
on with the group as a whole. If I killfile your posts, maybe I miss
the (very few) good ones. Also, I miss seeing those posts from
Richard Henry and Alan Baker that make me think that those two are
****ing idiots - so I can discount and ignore them in other threads.
And if you drive away the newbies, you leave the group to the people
with who you are most angry.

I guess my advice would be to try and post on-topic and ignore the
trolls (yeah right), or simply leave the group altogether. The
terrorists aren't going anywhere. But say they do....

Are you trying to drive away the terrorists, and in the process are
driving away the newbies and non-terrorist regulars (if there are
any), but hope to someday rid the group of everyone so you can start
over? That may be what you are hoping for, as I sense that this group
was a pretty big part of your life at one point. Problem is, you can
never cross the same river twice. Plus, you've probably alienated so
many people now that you'll be unable to mend the bridges - and vice
versa. And the trolls will always be out there to try and ruin any
new "group" you try to create.

principal/create anger in others/foster bad karma/etc...? If so, it
is working. It sucks to have to read this crap day in and day out.
At times, I've enjoyed posting here. And believe me - I enjoyed

The only alternative that I see is that you have a compulsion to
continue the barrage. Do you need to post here? If so, let it go,

Repressed memories revisited
I am Scott Barak Abraham's brother. I started to write a long rebuttal to
his story in Backlash ("Repressed Memory Syndrome," The Backlash, March
1995), but then I stopped. No matter what I say, some will accept, some will
not. But there is a thing that must be said. Scott Barak Abraham was not, I
repeat not, abused within our household. Since this alleged abuse is one of
the pivotal points of the article, I feel it calls the validity of the whole
article into question.
Mr. Abraham was a multiple substance abuser for over twenty years, I have
never used any drugs and haven't had a drink since I was 15 years old, 27
years ago, and was never drunk even once. I bring this up not for moral
judgment, just for one point. Mr. Abraham poisoned his mind and body for
over twenty years with mind altering drugs and substances, all of which have
been scientifically proven to affect intelligence, perception and memory.

Finally, as children, up to my 17th birthday Mr. Abraham molested me,
violently abused me almost daily, and to this day uses words of derision and
insult to attack and intimidate me. He denies this. If nothing else, I
remember him doing this, he denies it. He says both of us were victims of
multiple abusers, and I deny that with absolutely no hesitation or
reservation. Since the article says False Memory Syndrome doesn't exist, he
is quite wrong, as apparently one of us is the victim of said syndrome.

A last thought. Mr. Abraham's behavior is nothing new, it hasn't changed
ever. He threatened and intimidated when he was six, he threatened and
intimidated when he was 15, he threatened and intimidated when he was 25, he
threatens and intimidates when he is 43.

I just want to let it be known that I strongly object to these false
