Default Fritschi Freeride Problem

Hi,

I bought a pair of skis with the fritschi freeride and got the bindings
store mounted.

After 3-4 days of skiing i noticed that I can "wiggle" the bindings a a
little laterally within the rear locking mechanism.

Is this normal, or are the bindings mounted wrong?

Regards,

Magnus Fasting

I have diamir II's that I mounted myself. They don't wiggle and they don't
accidently release into tour mode if the ski flexes a lot.

Cheers

Dingus, say it ain't so... I didn't know that you dabbled in the dark
side of the force! You'll never get into Tele Heaven now!

FWIW, I also have Diamir II (mounted on Tua Excaliburs) and I've never
had a problem with them releasing into tour mode. Then again, I ski
lightly so I probably wouldn't be a stress case. I'm 200 lbs, size 11
foot and set my bindings on DIN 7. I don't huck big air.

I've never suffered a release into tour mode on the Diamir II
(mounted on Atomic Beta 9.22) but I did have the problem on my previous
setup which was Diamir Is mounted on Dynastar 4X4

I think the revised curved shape of the heal lift on the IIs makes it
less likely that the mechanism can be accidently tripped by flexing the
ski.
