Default Sainte-Foy - Other Resorts Transport

Hi all!

We're all looking forward to a trip to Sainte-Foy over the Christmas/
New Year period. We've got all stuff in Sainte-Foy organised, but a
few members of our party are wondering if there is a way to get out of
Sainte-Foy to, say, Val d'Isere, or a larger town for some
"nightlife" (heavy drinking/dancing) and get back without having to
drive? Is it a local taxi job, or are there scheduled buses around
the alps that would serve this purpose?

Happy skiing,

Graeme

My advise is to have a car and do a rota for the drinking as public
transport won't work for you and taxis are expensive in France and not
that readily available in places like Sainte Foy (you basically need
to book in advance - normally you can't just call when you are ready
to go expecting one to turn up within 10 mins).
Val d'Isere is good for partying but would suggest you try Bourg-St
Maurice too as easier to get to.
Would also suggest making it a day in Val d'Isere. Go there in
morning, ski all day, have a nice evening meal then party then get a
taxi back. Will be much easier although i would not leave it to the
last minute to order it either.
