The Clydesdales make

Clydesdales (and wagon) used to show up here every spring and march
around the parking lot. Not for a decade or so now.

I think the barrels were empty, though, which is cheating in my book.
Unless I emptied them - which I wouldn't, knowing what was claimed to be
in them.

If all a bar had was lousy Mercan beer, I used to drink Bud cause of the
Clydesdales. One of the best developments ever was microbrews which
saved me from that fate nearly worse than death. Rice in beer - I ask you!

Before the local stable burned down they stayed there the week before
the Rose Parade. We got to pet them. Their heads must have been 4 feet
long. The public, including little kids, was welcome to touch them --
which must mean that they were either Prozac'd up to the gills or really
sweet-natured.

I know it's heresy, but all beer sucks. It might be better if there
were no bubbles, but probably not.

People still watch TV? Who knew?

You don't watch Reno 911?

I used to, before I cancelled cable.

I also used to watch it's predecessors: Viva Variety and The State.

Now I subscribe to Netflix, so I can let movies sit around for weeks
unwatched at no additional charge.

I just wish it worked on goggles. Maybe it would if I wasn't such a
cheapskate who buys $12 ski goggles.

I never pay more than a buck! I just noticed that the nice Uvex ones I've
used for maybe 10 years have holes in the thin foam covering the vents. I
think duct tape will come in handy here...

Once the holes begin, the foam begins to shred in tiny pieces that get into your
eyes and irritate. Better start saving some dimes.

Rip it off and cover the framework with duct tape. There are REAL vent
holes in the sides so I don't think I'm doing serious injury. I
discovered the problem when wind blew in and decentered my contact lens.
Not good to be suddenly unable to see...

Repair report: The black duct tape didn't stick, but the grey stuff
did. Unfortunately my hair seems to occasionally get stuck in the edges
of the tape. Still, it's good to be a non-tele dirtbag.
