Default Garnet Hill Course Has Awesome Base

Skied Yesterday and there is still tons of snow. Course will groomed
day of and is clearly marked. Local ski team is doing the timing.

Teasing the world with April snow is worse enough, but you could post all
updates in your (fine) original post, couldn't you?

I can only brag about a day or two, but about ten days ago we had
awesome skate skiing right in New York City. About six inches of dense
snow fell and I did a bit over two hours one morning at 28F.

But it all melted fast...

Jan Gerrit Klok,
If I need to post every day to get a turn out to raise a liitle money
for a high school ski team I will. Even if I'm boring you to death.
Sometimes it sucks volunteering ones own time.

Doug,

What weather service do you use for Garnet Hill? I usually use
Weather Undergroun for North River? Is that about right, or is Garnet
Hill a little colder?

I use wunderground.com. However it gives Chestertown as the area
recorded for North River. Chestertown is only at 800' elevation and 20
miles from Garnet Hill. I once think I saw a ski bag on the rack at
Garnet Hill with your name on it. If so you know how steep the
mountains are leading down to Harvey's Tailings. This kind of natural
hollow keeps cool and preserves the snow. Thanks for asking and
someday I'll make it down to NYC to roller ski with you guys in
Central Park.
