Default Board for hefty newbie!

Hi all,

I'm very new to snowboarding, with six hours of lessons and a few hours
of recreational riding under my belt (at the Castleford Snodome, not on
a mountain). I'm planning to go boarding "properly" in March and would
be grateful for some advice on what board to buy - I'm 6'3 and 240lbs
with size 13 feet so I'm told I'll need something wide and fairly
stiff. I have been looking at a wide Burton Cruzer but am told that
I'll outgrow it quickly and as I'm getting really into boarding, I
don't want to have to shell out for another board a year down the line.
Thanks

Steve

maybe you would be better off getting a used board this year. You
can resell if next year if all works out well. And this way you
don't commit a lot of cash to something that might not be right.

Thanks for the advice Mike, do you recommend any particular board or

Not sure if it's 100% suitable, but I've got a K2 Fatbob (2002, 163 I think)
that I'm looking to offload (uk)......
