Default Help - Going to Utah 12/31/03 - 1/5/04 Need a place to ski/stay

All:

I'm heading up to SLC in a few days. That's pretty much all I know
right now. Basically looking for a place to stay/ski. Any
hints/suggestions (I know there are a lot of old articles on this
subject--looking for fresh opinions).

I guess I'm looking at staying in Salt Lake City at a cheapo motel and
skiing at Snowbird (maybe a few others). I'd love to stay at one of
the resorts, but I'm skiing alone this time and it's hard to find
anything for a single (that's not $150+/night). Are there dorms,
hostels, etc. that are a good close alternative?

Also looking for suggestions on places to ski--right now I'm looking
at Snowbird and Park City. I've done most of my skiing on the east
coast (Stowe/Killington), so powder should be an interesting
challenge.

Anyone going to be up there and looking to split a condo?
30/m/non-smoker/love animals/financially stable....

Let me know!

Matt R.
