Too bad we don't get snow Hurricaines. *Those would be loads of fun.

No, they would not be. *Gale force winds blowing snow in your face -
not fun. * We had a snowstorm years back with winds so high, the snow
was just cutting into your face like sandblasting. * It hurt like
hell. *The winds must have been 40+ mph made it into the lobby of my
building and saw a guy there from somewhere else in the neighborhood
who had taken temporary refuge. * His face was burnt red from the
snowblasting, as was mine. * *"How you doing?" I asked him "Not good,"
he replied.

For days afterward, I would see people whose faces looked like that.
And guess what - *it wasn't even a REAL hurricane. *Just a really
strong storm.

Not fun.

Dave

I have been in a wind gust at Mammoth that wiped out visibility for a
few seconds. When I could see again, I realized that while I thought
I had been slowly feeling my way down the hill, I was actually being
blown uphill. When I finally made it down, I was not surprised to
learn that all the lifts had been shut down.

This is why I struggled with the verbal portion of the SAT. Those
analogies just never made any sense.

Never had it that bad at Snow Summit, but I remember straight-lining the
'black' Miracle Mile segment at walking speed.

While in high school, we were encouraged to keep a daily journal.
I never liked it, especially when early on I realized that anybody
could find it and read it. Fortunately, the jury never saw it.

You should really wash them. Then they wouldn't smell so bad and
people could stand being next to you.

I would put some de icing fluid on the beard, and make sure the hood is fur
lined to help lessen the ice rind build up.

Helmet are good when you think the wind is really hard, but you are
actually burrowing into the ground.

Was that due to wind or sticky spring slop?

Wind. SSS just makes me turn in unwanted directions.
