Where to ski in Utah with no crowds?
I'm hitting Utah in early March for a short trip, Sat, Sun and Mon,
and want to avoid the lift lines. Which resorts are typically less crowded than others? I hear Solitude really lives up to its name, any others?? Thanks! |

Once you get away from the central lifts (Saddleback and Tombstone) there's never a wait. |

No place in either Cottonwood Canyons will have shorter lift lines than Solitude. -- According to John Perry Barlow, "Jeff Davis is a truly gifted trouble-maker." |

Hmmm..well, I'm not certain I understand that comment. The Canyons has a ton of different terrain, and is the least busy of the PC resorts. There are some great black blue runs off the north side of Condor and the south side, when there's enough snow (which there is now) has some fun chutes. Off of Eagle and Lookout, there's lots to ski. I don't much care for the south side of the resort, but if you're an intermediate skiier looking for groomers, you'll find plenty. So do you not like the runs, does the Gondola **** you off, is the food not as good as DV, or what? |

Of course, to the rest of us, The Canyons is a fine resort, good snow, great lifts, helluva lot of terrain, etc. People with no interior values need to value themselves by associating with perceived quality while denigrating others.
