It's not a huge problem, and with more experience, one is obviously better
prepared to cope with greater variations.

Sometimes I set my bindings up wrong when I arrive at the mountains, and
generally I can tell straight away that something's not right. Although I
can continue riding with the wrong settings, it feels wrong and
uncomfortable.

Riding switch OTOH is weird; theoretically I know what to
do, but I don't have the so-called muscle-memory to do it on anything
other than greens or easy blues. Actually, it's been so long that I'm
not sure I can do it at all ATM.

It takes a concerted effort to crack riding switch, especially to be
relaxed at speed and/or on steeps. If it's an important thing for you to
crack, then you just need to spend more time at it. I wouldn't
necessarily change the bindings to do so though. Image setting your board
up with -3/-15 and then riding normally, it's going to be very strange.
So better to get the muscle memory working on the normal stance settings.

If you really want, just go for a completely symmetric stance.

Actually, my favourite manouever is blasting past the skiers in the
powder, as they do their little pogo stick routine.

Heh.

Of course, you'll then be passed by the same skiers as you do the
requisite sit down in the middle of the run for ten minutes...

Sideslip comes a close second though.

Learn to go forwards. Think Front-end, Back-end.

Very very tempting to follow-up that feed-line.
