Did anyone make it up to Revelstoke last season to check out the new
ski area? I'm thinking of heading up there this winter. It looks
like you can combine it with a trip to Kicking Horse and maybe even
Lake Louise.

I haven't been but I have a bunch of friends who went up there last
year. It had no snowed for a couple of weeks before they went but I
still heard rave reviews. They said the place was huge and they are
probably going to go back this year. I think I'll join them.

They mainly stayed in the Revelstoke area and did snowcat skiing one
day and a couple of back country days. I guess there are a couple of
back country areas that are pretty accessable from the road and a bit
of hiking.

Downtown Revelstoke is 45 minutes from Rogers Pass, so, yes, there are a
couple of backcountry areas.
Revelstoke has added another lift this year, so even bigger. Lets not tell
everyone.

We will be there hel-ing last week of January (our favorite place).
And, I plan to hit the resort, too.

Hit it late March. Foot and a half of new. Even I was getting
freshies all day, with a few minor hikes or traverses.
Front side reminds me a bit of the front side of Blackcomb, back in
the day before Whistler got popular. A lot of fall line, even
steeper, and even longer. Bert and I will be heading up this year,
especially now that they are opening some intermediate terrain.
Worked my butt off on what they have, had to turn them.
Have an old AA buddy in town who moved there from Whistler, so I'm
hooked up. For me, a nice run up the Okanagan, only an hour and a
half or so from Vernon.
Gonna be a monster. Already a monster. A lot of it will ski just
like Whistler, pre-mob: ignore the bottom two thousand or so and stay
high.

To late, there's a big article about it in Ski this month.

Yes, I agree. I will always be looking down on you from far above.
People like you keep me elevated. Thank God for the Horvies and
Palins of the world, who make us all look better by comparison.
And unlike you, I actually ski. Forty to fifty days a year. All over
the West. Including Revelstoke. Last year and this year.
Ever been there? What are your impressions?

The only impression I want to see is my ski boot on your huge ass.

You'd actually have to go skiing to pull that off. Then you'd have to
get close enough to do that.
Two things that will never happen.
Thanks for another laughable threat. I'm still looking down at you.
And always will.
