Snowcat Skiing in Western Canada
Getting a booking at a good cat skiing operation can be tough.
Chatter Creek Mountain Lodges near Golden BC is expanding next year to accommodate 12 more guests and there may still be space available. I organize a cat skiing trip every year for a group of friends and I know how difficult it can be to "break in" to an established operation. Existing clients get priority and it can be difficult to get anything but single spots. Chatter has great terrain and it's in a bit of a local snow belt. Check out their Web site at http://backcountrywintervacations.com Good luck By the way, if you have never tried cat skiing, it's to die for. Fine for strong intermediate skiers through to experts. Have seen groups of not-so-strong intermediates have a great time too. More relaxed and much less expensive than heli-skiing but you will still get all the fresh powder snow you can handle. |
