Default slolam/carving

What kind of bindings are they using for the slolam in Torino. They don't
look like anything I've seen bofore. They seem to put the rider up higher
and some sort of angle. Also what length boards are they using. The way they
are carving those turns looks like fun. any advice on technique would be
greatly appriciated too.

The bindings are called plate bindings, they are meant to be used with
hard boots. There are a variety, some of them give quite a bit of rise
off the board and allow variations in cant and lift. There are
conventional ones with a toe clip and also step-in versions. The boards
are typically 180-190 cm long for PGS. Over half the riders are on
Kesslers this year, I note the top 4 women were all on them. Kessler is
an innovator in using titanal (an aluminum-titanium alloy) in
construction, most other manufacturers are following along.

It as incredibly fun! When you reach a certain level of skill, you can
feel the G's on every turn. For me, it's more of a rush than getting air.
