I'm interested in camping while I snowboard and wonder if there are any
places to do so around the ski areas in the SE.

There's probably a site in Milton Keynes somewhere near Xscape. If I were
you I'd go somewhere else.

I grew up in the South-east, and I can't think of anywhere. Maybe the Weald
in Kent or the South Downs, in a bad enough winter?

Yeah, try the SE of another country: Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand,
Canada, USA (no, that would be Florida!). Which SE are we talking about
here?

I'll play!

Cloudmont on Lookout Mountain in NE Alabama. Just west and way uphill from
Ft Payne. You could camp at DeSoto State Park, Buck's Pocket State Park,
Sequoyah Caverns, or Guntersville State Park.

You might want to wait until January, though.
