Default Ski holidays in Austria (beginning of March)

Hello,

We are planning to have our ski holidays in Austria (beginning of
March), but we don't know what are the best and nicest places to ski
for advanced skiers.
We are going to rent a car to drive around the resorts every day. Does
anyone know witch places should we visit first of all?
We are also would like to find a nice and probably cheap place to live,
so that it is not far to drive to all the places we are going to visit.
Can anyone give us an advice?

If you are advanced skiers: The Arlberg: St. Anton, Lech, Zurs, etc.
Nice depends on the weather and coverage, what you look for, etc.

The people in the Arlberg think they invented modern skiing.
They have some title to that claim.

Well cheap this area isn't.

There's steep N of Insbruck, and there is skiing over most of the
country. I would just simply "go". That's what I did last year.
Plenty still left to explore.

Hi,

What about the ski Amade area??

http://en.skiamade.com/

A six day lift pass covers the whole area 25 towns ,860 of piste and 270
lifts., including the Dachstein glacier.

All easily drivable - areas include Gastein area , Schladming etc, all
within an hour drive of Salzburg airport.

The accomadation is also quite cheap.

if you want an further info e-mail me.
