You got a point, Birke, about their responsibility if a product is
defective to start!

As they learn about product limit "suggestions" they need to notify all
customers about them. And I suspect they should replace product for
overweight skiers when they discover their product has a weight limit.

What are recall standards anyway? Are all companies obliged to do recalls
in certain cases?

A recall might put them under. Do we want that?

This weight limit AFTER the fact is a PAIN though.

As for defective products: they have replaced known bad items with good
ones. I think they believe the 2nd batch of wheels for instance is good
but tricky to use, so they don't do a free replace automatically with
those. But they did replace for free the first set. I got a free set no
problem. So if we get them to admit that a frame break due to overweight
by a skier who COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN this is a "defect" then I bet they'd
start shelling out new frames. ESPECIALLY for those that break! This
would not be NEARLY as painful to them as a full recall. I wouldn't
return mine unless they break. Unless it's determined to truly be worth a
total recall. I don't want to have a break cause a tumble I suppose.
However, so far so good, so I will keep using mine. I suppose I'll check
for stress, sags, etc. I plan on losing weight! : )
