The Day 3 sprints are now up via torrent. Eurosport broadcasts. Looks like the capper is back, I've sent him a PM to cap the remainder of the Tour so things are looking good now! Torrent are via pirate bay or demonoid, just type in FIS and look for the right torrent.

http://www.soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?id=zimowe- this you have list of all wintersports available by internet. It's in polish, find 13:40, there is today's 15 km race and than just klick on "Play", you have for example NRK by Windows Media Player, but I can't watch anything today, I don't know why, maybe it's something wrong with NRK today? Another method: download Sopcast (you can find it in google) and when you will install it just klick again on play, but on row "Sopcast" now, not in windows media player, and everyting should be correct. On this website you can find below everything also for monday (poniedzialek in polish - search for "Zawody Pucharu Swiata w Pradze - sprint mezczyzn i kobiet Tour de Ski", and again you can watch by Windows Media Player (maybe tomorrow everyting will be correct?) or by Sopcast. And torrents: I record every race beacuse I have Eurosport, but only on video tapes and now I haven''t possibility to make torrents, maybe later or maybe someone else will be able to do this Thanks Daniel, it worked great last night and I was able to watch live Prague sprints :-) |

Actually I found a workaround for this, I live in Canada and can watch the universal sports broadcasts. Just download a IP masker called Hotspot shield, it's a free download just search google for it. Download, install, and run it. It will give your computer an random IP address so it give you anonymity and that IP address will be a US one regardless where you live. Open up Univsersal Sports and start watching. http://www.hotspotshield.com/ -- doogiski Thanks for the tip doogiski, it worked other day for me in Australia :-) It's great that all footage is kept on the site for viewing at any time too. Is there way to record this somehow? |

Universal Sports has the Prague sprints up now, too:

From Petra Madjic's blog entry about the Prague sprint: "I could not
risk going at full speed on the icy parts of the course with my technique. It was a little bit chaotic with the jury decision about Roponen and Sachenbacher Stehle; many teams were not satisfied with that." The ice explains some of the tactics and the falls on corners, including Devon Kershaw taking out himself and Marcus Hellner. What exactly was the dispute about over the two women in the B final? It was odd and didn't seem particularly fair having Roponen line up behind Sachenbacher Stehle, tho she did finish third (8th)? Gene |

Saarinen was leading heading into the final straightaway ahead of Roponen and Sachenbacher Stehle. Sachenbacher Stehle moved left and started to move up beside Roponen. Roponen appears to be heading to the right, but then moves back left. Here the camera angle changes and you can't see who is technically "ahead" (and potentially would be allowed to take the line they choose). The contact happens before the marked finishing lanes. Roponen essentially sideswipes Sachenbacher Stehle into the advertising banners, and moves ahead to finish second. Sachenbacher Stehle finishes 3rd, with a Lucky Loser time. Then, in the semis, Roponen is not one of the starters. But, she gets added as the 7th skier in the B final! All the other skiers in that heat had skied an extra round. She finishes 2nd, 8th overall. Sachenbacher Stehle ends up 10th overall. I believe this sort of jury decision is unprecedented. Normally the teams cannot lodge a protest during the heats, but it seems like the jury changed their mind about Roponen before the B final. E |

I read interview with Justyna Kowalczyk - she thought that she won't
start in semifinals because Roponen and Stehle have her place. But just one moment before her race someone told her that Roponen finally isn't on startlist of this semifinal, so jury decided about this really few whiles before start. Later Roponen started in final B. Strange situation. |

Thanks for the explanations. It's shown clearly on the Eurosport video
at 27:08. Ropenon was slightly ahead and took advantage of it to get out from behind Saarinen. Announcer Dixon, a biathlete himself, points out, "Well, well. Once you generally pick your lane you can't move out of that." I get the sense that the rules are pretty loosely interpreted in sprinting. In one of the men's heats, Gaillard similarly cut off a Norwegian skier (Roenning?) after they were well into the marked finish lanes. The latter raised his arms in a "what the heck" motion as they crossed the line, but I think both moved on, the Norwegian as a lucky loser. I guess not everything goes in sprinting, as it turns out that Devon
Kershaw was relegated to last place in his quarter for aggressive skiing. Kershaw talks about it and the reaction from the Swedes: http://www.devonkershaw.com/main.php?p=727 wrote: From Petra Madjic's blog entry about the Prague sprint: "I could not risk going at full speed on the icy parts of the course with my technique.
