Great race and report, Dell! (And Amy!) You guys are moving on up! Man, to be up there were there are some
tactical concerns: amazing! Sounds like fun!

Hugh Pritchard is a former Biathlete from London, England, skied the
Biathlon Relay at Salt Lake City, skis/rollerski with Team
NordicSkiRacer.com when he visits the states. (Go Hugh!). By the way,
he won the Gran Travers 16km Classic the next day (Go Hugh!).

Hugh has a web site at http://web.onetel.net.uk/~hughp/ , with a very
cool animated gif of him V1'ing with a rifle....

You may be onto it here Jay. But the trail is phenomenal now... wasn't so
hot back in the late 80's early 90's and thats when competition and numbers
were highest. Seems like American ski Chase pulled the plug, then the trail
got even better ! I think it was more political and more that Vasa didnt
want to change the date - which is unfortunate for eveyone involved.

heading out for a NIGHT classic ski under the lights in Michigan.

JK

Did a night ski last night... and about 1km from my vehicle the LIGHTS went
out, boom. Scary but pretty cool too. NExt time I'll remember that its
10pm lights out !
JK

I heard the problem was the trail. The American Ski Chase/American
Marathon Series folks thought the course was too narrow and not up to
par with other events. I also heard there were political reasons why
the trail couldn't be improved.

Does anyone know for sure if that is one of the reasons?
