music festival its the 2009 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.

Funny.

Looking at the x-c schedule, there are 5k and 10k classic qualification
races for women and men on Wednesday. What's up with that - are there
too many participants for single events? The schedule is at

I had the same question when I first looked at the schedule. It seems
that many others have as well, and they've posted a description on the
front page of their website:
http://www.liberec2009.com/en/publis...na-lyzich.html
The way I read it, there are essentially too many people registered
for the 10/15 races, so everyone with more than 90/120 FIS distance
points (men/women) have to race in this qualifier, and only the top 10
will be allowed to race in the actual race. Kind of interesting.
