Are you ok?

What is your opinion of a ski season this year? Will we have to wait
until the snow fills the gaps in the roads and the rivers freeze before
we can get to ski areas?

But on a serious note if I can do anything to help let me know.

It's still golf season. Isn't Vermont still flooded?

Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares.

Killington got hit hard. At least one lodge was destroyed, and there
are reports that some of the lift towers may have shifted.

Thanks guys. I couldn't get close enough to get any pictures.
Now think about this:
KBL is out, the peak restaurant is out (for planned replacement)
what will Killington do? When I know, I'll keep you posted. The
mountain is still there that's what's important.

'course y'know, K-mart has four other base lodges, I'm sure they
will think of something. It may be something as neat as
decentralizing even more. Different outposts with different
menus. Put your boots on at Skye base, go where you please
and don't return to base until end of day. Sounds good and
something not done much in the east.

As for my house here in Happy Valley, it' completely untouched.
I'm right on the edge of a small river which raised hell both
upstream and down but didn't even widen it's bed behind my
house. I've seen houses crushed. A mobile home stacked up against
a bridge. A bridge in a tangled mass up against a stream bank
and so on. The worst flood in the memory of many people currently
alive was in 1973 and it wasn't anywhere as bad as this. The
worst on record was 1927 which is counted as the hundred
year event. When all is cleared, I bet we came very close
to matching that event. I know we did in Ludlow since I've
been doing some flood plain work there and I know where the
1927 line was and it was met.

That would have been Hurricanne Agnes, right?

I remember Agnes, although I was a youngster - some serious flooding
along the Delaware, and I presume elsewhere as well.

Too bad we don't get snow Hurricaines. Those would be loads of fun.
