Accident on backside
http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...m/breakingnews
or http://makeashorterlink.com/?B51B21F0D Another avoidable tragedy - be careful, especially now when ego-snow is everywhere encouraging high speeds. Also for you Californians, I've seen plenty of sluffs around the slopes, some big, that released in the afternoon when the snow layers warm up. If you're a Tahoe/Alpine local, there's a huge cornice spawning off the Big Bend Bowl ridge with a 15-20 foot deep crevice behind it; idjits continue to hike on the moving side, daring it to let go while they're on it. All they have to do is move to the windward side of the ridge for a couple of hundred feet to avoid all danger. What doofus. |
