Default Replacement for Salomon X-Screams?

Looking to replace my 4-years old Salomon X-Screams (which I love) for
all-mountain skiing around Pacific Northwest (50% piste, 50% off).
50 YO advanced (not expert) athletic (but not aggressive) skier.

How does their new line compare?

Which would be the most similar ski from their current line? XW Tornado,
Blast, or other?

Other comments, makes, recommendations?

Thanks a lot!

I pretty much match your specs and
very much enjoy my 1 year old K2 Apache Recons.
Very stable, but easy to turn. Go anywhere.

Do you ski at Stevens?

The Salamon Scrambler "Hot" w/ the S910 bindings is basically the
modern equivilent of the old Scream Pilots.

I just tried em out last weekend. MUY bueno. Oh, and I used to ski the
Scream Pilots...Sucker for Salamon's ever since the days of the Force
9...damn I loved that ski.

I would suggest you demo the 1080 Gun. My stats are close to yours.
When I traded my X-Screams for the Pocket Rockets (which have evolved
into the Gun) it was such a huge step up that I still get a big grin
when I think of those first few days. When I went to trails that had
previously presented me with enough challenge that I felt proud to make
it down without hurting myself, suddenly I was ripping with speed and
grace. I say give 'em a try, you may never go back to mid-fat again.

Chris
