3 Valleys New Year Resort Advice
Never done any boarding much before Feb, but myself (boarder) and a
few friends (all skiers) are thinking of going to Merribel for New Year. Ive been once before, but my concern is that the resort is quite low and might not have good snow for New Year. Perhaps Val Thorens might be a better choice. (Ive been to both in the month of March a few years ago) Any thoughts are much appreciated on whether it will be slush/grass hell and a different resort might be advisable for this early on in the season. FYI, Im doing a DIY booking job. Cheers, J. |

Perfect location too, couldn't be better for access to all the 3V. VT, Arc 2000, Tignes are among the most snow-sure in the northern Alps, but it's often the southern French Alps and Pyrenees that get the best of the early season snow. Pete www.alpesprovence.net |

I went before xmas last year and it was dire (and I'm usually that not that fussed about apres). Of course it will be busier in the new year but there are still very few places to go. P.S. I would like to go back later in the season because it seems like a good base for 3v. |
