Default Breathable Mitts?

Any suggestions for large size breathable mittens, preferable with some
insulation of their own, and big enough to mix and match with inner
gloves or mitts for various temps.
I got some last week that were supposed to be breathable, but I think
that was only on the low activity downhill scale, cause my hands got
mighty damp inside them (warm though!)
If I had to I could go to rag wool mitts and some kind of nylon shell. I
have sporthill mitt covers which are nice but too small for a good size
inner mitt.
