American Birkie Advice Sought
Zach
Not too sure on location. I know Gear West rented a location in that area for Birkie weekend in 2002 and did real well (but they ****ed off the other shops in the area) As far as advertising goes, I would try to get info out through skinnyski.com. Everyone in the midwest looks at that site religously throughout the winter and especially around Birkie time. Many will be looking at it several times a day. Hope that helps. Dave "Zachary Caldwell" wrote in message ... OK all you Midwesterners - in fact, any of you Birkie fanatics - I need some advice. I'm ashamed to admit that I've never been to the Birkie, so I'm a little out of my depth trying to make plans for the coming season. I'm planning to take my mobile stonegrinding setup out to the big show and I'm curious about a couple of things: Where should I set-up? I've got an offer for a very easy set-up in Sealy, right on the road from Cable to Hayward and very near the 00 crossing. Would I be insane not to be set-up near the expo? I wouldn't really have the ability to staff a booth in the expo in any case, so it's mostly a question of proximity. Aside from location my main concern is with getting word out in advance. I have yet to enquire about advertising in the Birch Scroll, but I imagine that would be smart. Any other ideas? If you guys help get me straightened out I'll cut you some good deals on fast skis when the time comes. thanks - Zach |
