Default Berkshire East

What can anyone tell me about Berkshire East, Mass.? I'm going to be
in western Massachusetts with my in-laws next weekend, and some of us
would like to go skiing. I'd like to check out Magic Moutain, Vt.,
said to be the "Mad River Glen of southern Vermont," but we'd rather
not travel that far, and Mount Snow just isn't worth the $60 weekend
lift ticket. Jiminy Peak is a option, but Berkshire East is closer and
a little cheaper, and has respectable vertical for the Bershires.. I'm
looking for some good bump runs -- nothing outrageous, but some
texture, if you know what I mean. Will it be worthwhile? If not,
what's an alternative?
