Hi Everyone,

Google takes abuse of its services very seriously and provides a way
to report abusers, such as the person posting the MI5 Persecution
messages. To report abusers,

Click on the message
Click on the "More Options" link at the top right of the message
Click on "Report this message"

Keep rec.skiing.nordic clean...

Is google really hosting the Usenet? The place to report this spam,
which I and assume others did from all over the Usenet, was to the
source, newsdemon.com, as identified in the X-Complaints-To line.
Usually an email suffices, but newsdemon wants complaints submitted
through their website with the message ID.

Somebody was issuing cancels for those things as fast as the
attacker was posting them, so if you were actually seeing
them it suggests that your service provider doesn't honor
cancels. There are reasonable reasons for doing that but
obviously there's a downside and you may want to send your
provider (or whoever you get Usenet from) a note.

Thanks. Comcast uses Giganews, which blew me off the first try, saying
report it to newsdemon, but I told them the thing about ignoring
cancels came from a number of internet security experts, so hopefully
it got 'escalated' on the second try.
