We are considering a trip to Italy. We're both snowboarders who look
for off-piste, steeps, and powder. Not into parks, pipes, etc...just
steep, deep and a lot of terrain.

We would also like to visit a place that has a town with some local
culture, not just a resort, and preferably stay in a house/condo. Can
anyone recommend something in Italy that fits the bill?

Any replies are appreciated.

Courmayeur for sure. I'm partial for many reason, but it's beautiful,
lively, great atmosphere, great food and nice (even if not
exceptional) skiing. And is halfway from two international airports.

Again, just a very partial opinion
