Default opinions on Giants Stadium sale: Meadowlands, NJ

hey all, I am looking to buy snowboarding equipment (board, boots,
binding, the works) this season and heard there is a big sale that
takes place at Giants Stadium in Medowlands, NJ (its on dec 7th to
11th this year) and its sponsered by Princeton Ski.

Is it worth going? Are the sales really good or would I be wasting my
time? I am thinking of checking out the equipmetn at Princeton Ski
Shop and then hitting the sale to get a good discount on it.

Any thoughts? Recommendations? Other places I should check out?

Hope to hear from someone and thanks!

Well, i went to the same event about 2 yrs ago and if I remember I don't
think there were too many bargains. In terms of clothing, they mostly
sell previous season's leftovers. I remember beginners packages starting
at about $300(board, bindings). I think you can expect 10%-15% discounts
for everything else plus the tax difference between NY and NJ if you
were to buy at the shop in Manhattan.

A better plan would be to go to a ski swap and see if you can find any
used equipment. It is usually cheaper that way and mid-high end used
equipment is better than new entry level stuff IMO.

Most good deals happen during the summer so if you don't go too often
and can wait and rent for now, I would do that.
